When mounting your Lane Shark a crushing hazard exists. DO NOT allow anyone to stand between or get near the front of the tractor when attaching. Always make sure hydraulic hoses are disconnected before attaching or detaching your Lane Shark. Follow these steps at all times while operating the Lane Shark. Failure to follow these instructions could result in serious injury or death. Preparing Cutter for Hook-up 1.
2. The Lane Shark should be on a hard at level surface. Make sure there are no items or debris between the tractor and the Lane Shark. Hook & Pin Style Loaders (John Deere) 1. (Refer to Figure 1 on pg. 25) Slowly approach the Lane Shark using the front hydraulic controls to align the front of the boom with the Lane Shark.
3. Place the tractors attachment points under the Lane Sharks mounting hooks. Make sure mounting pins are aligned and continue moving the tractor forward until the mounting plate on the Lane Shark is ush against the tractors mounting plate. 4. Place tractor gear selector in park or set park brake, shut engine o , and remove ignition key. 5. Install the locking pins on the back of the mounting plate to lock the Lane Shark into place. NEVER ATTEMPT OPERATE OR MOVE WITHOUT LOCKING THE LANE SHARK IN PLACE.
6. Attach the hydraulic pressure and return hoses from the tractor to the Lane Shark. (See pages 18-19 for hydraulic plumbing diagram) Skid Steer Quick Attach (SSQA)
1. (Refer to Figure 1 on pg. 25) Slowly approach the Lane Shark using the front hydraulic controls to align the front of the boom with the Lane Shark. 2. 3. Place the tractors attachment points under the Lane Sharks mounting plate. Continue moving the tractor forward until the mounting pins lock into place and the Lane Shark is ush against the tractors mounting plate. 4. Place tractor gear selector in park or set park brake, shut engine o , and remove ignition key.
5. On the tractor, push the locking arms down until the have locked the Lane Shark in place. NEVER ATTEMPT OPERATE OR MOVE WITHOUT LOCKING THE LANE SHARK IN PLACE. 6. Attach the hydraulic pressure and return hoses from the tractor to the Lane Shark. (See pages 18-19 for hydraulic plumbing diagram)
7. IMPORTANT NOTICE: On some tractor applications equipped with the SSQA system you may need to trim the top hooks of the Lane Shark to ensure full operational clearance of your tractors boom. Consult your Lane Shark dealer for this service.
